Melissa McCarthy, Sookie from Gilmore Girls, will be appearing on Samantha Who? tonight. I think as the last season of Gilmore Girls we could all say we became very fond of the quircky Sookie and all her crazy ideas, especially her love for food. So why shouldn’t it surprise you that she was quickly grabbed up for a new series?

Actually Melissa will appear briefly in the first episode, which airs tonight at 9:30/8:30C on ABC. In this episode she will pretend to be best friends with Samantha Newly as she tries to figure out who she really is. Samantha was in a terrible traffic accident, which left her in an 8 day coma and now she has no memory of her life before the accident. Only problem is Dena, played by Melissa, is NOT her best friend. Dena is a child that was tormented in school by Samantha. Is turn about fair play?

This should definitely prove to be a bit funny, especially when Sam’s REAL best friend appears. How will Dena explain it? Will she tell Sam about the horrible person she once was and how she planned on taking her revenge? Or will Dena feel bad for her and try to become her new best friend?
