Gilmore Girls

Chris happily starts moving into Lorelai’s house, but Lorelai can only focus on the fact that Rory doesn’t know about the 2 day old marriage yet. She calls Rory and begs her to come to dinner. Rory finally agrees and they tell her they were married in a church near one of Monet’s studios and that they didn’t’ intend to marry when they went. Rory says she is happy. Chris leaves to get champagne and Rory angrily rips into Lorelai for getting married and keeping it a secret for two days. Lorelai tries to explain but Rory doesn’t want to hear it.

Logan is back for a launch party with his London crew and the big news is he will be moving back to New York. Rory is ecstatic and joins him for his launch party after dinner with her parents. While there she meets a guy that is working on a prominent website and he asks her to write a piece on the party. Rory works all night on a scathing piece about trust fund babies and their fancy parties. She proudly shows it to Logan and they have a huge fight. He reminds her that she is privileged, too and has been living in his apartment rent free for a long time. Rory shows the piece to some friends and they agree with Logan. She returns home and they both apologize. Rory tells Logan she needs to move out of his apartment and make it on her own.

April is still staying with Luke and they have bonded. April is excited about her first boy girl party, but Luke is nervous. He asks her not to make out with any of the boys until she’s ready. But she gets sick and Luke makes her stay home. In a panic he calls Lorelai and tells her April symptoms. Lorelai tells him that it sounds like appendicitis and urges him to take her to the hospital. Luke does just that and April has her appendix removed. Lorelai shows up to offer support and to check on April and Luke. The doctor comes out to say April is fine and asks if they want to see her. Luke then notices Lorelai’s wedding ring. While April sleeps he sadly watches an old movie on television.

Back at the Gilmore house, Chris wants to move Rory’s things to the garage to make way for Gigi. Lorelai freaks out and tells him that Rory is upset enough without them cleaning out her room. Chris is disappointed that Rory wasn’t happy about the marriage. After checking on April, Lorelai heads to Yale to talk to Rory. She explains that she didn’t’ call Rory and tell her because she was afraid Rory would talk her out of it. She said she was really sure it was the right thing to do. Rory tells her that she was angry because she wasn’t there, not because they got married. Lorelai goes home and tells Chris and they start moving Rory’s stuff out of her room.
