Rory & Dean after Breakup

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Lorelai and Rory

We all know it’s hard to see someone after a breakup but even harder if you live in a small town like Stars Hollow. Everyone knows that the two of them are no longer together and thinks Dean must’ve done something to her. Luke spots Dean heading to the cafe and meets him outside to have a slapfest.

Rory decides to go to the Chilton Party and asks Lane to come with. Rory spots a box of cornstarch before she leaves and gets all weepy and decides to toss it. Lorelai grabs it and tells her she’ll do it and have a great time at the party. Once they leave Lorelai goes to her closet and places the cornstarch in a box of things. My guess is it is everything Dean ever gave her.

Only 3 episodes left (for the season? series?)

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

According to Ausiello at TV Guide:

Question: Thanks for keeping us updated on the nail-biting situation that is Gilmore Girls’ possible eighth season. Please give us the latest update, even if it’s that things are the same.
Ausiello: The 13-episode deal should’ve been signed, sealed and delivered by now. Something’s obviously holding up the works. Maybe Sally Struthers is playing hardball.

Question: Can you please tell us in what episode and in what situation Luke and Lorelai will kiss after a year apart?
Ausiello: God, you guys are an impatient bunch. (Spoiler alert) It happens in the season finale shortly after Luke single-handedly prevents Rory’s graduation party from becoming a total washout. Do you also want to know how much tongue there is?

Scoop

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Courtesy of Ausiello at TV Guide:

Question: I’m excited to hear about the possible shortened eighth season of Gilmore Girls. Got anything new to report on that front?
Ausiello: At the show’s wrap party Sunday night, everyone and their sister was talking about the short order as if it was a done deal. The only sticking point appears to be the number of episodes. I’m hearing 13, but I imagine the CW is trying to stretch that to at least 16. An official announcement is imminent.

Question: Can I ask you an honest question? Do you want Gilmore Girls to go on? Or do you think that they should end it this season?
Ausiello: I’m torn. On the one hand, I think Rory’s college graduation would be a perfect capper to these seven years. On the flip side, I’m not good with the goodbyes. Never have been, never will be. Now, if the show was in pitiful shape — along the lines of, say, the final season of Roseanne — maybe I’d be more eager to let it go. But I kinda sorta think our Girls have a little more life left in ‘em. It could also be that I’m just on a high from last night’s first-rate episode, which was easily the best of the season. Reminded me of the good ol’ days.

Question: Do you know anything about the season/series finale of Gilmore Girls?
Ausiello: I know that the townsfolk throw Rory a massive graduation party since most of them couldn’t get tix to the real ceremony. I also know that the final scene features three characters and, per one source, “brings the show full circle.”

Question: Who won the poll between Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars?
Ausiello: After much seesawing leadership, Mars topped Girls 54 percent to 45 percent.

Question: Please! For the sake of my sanity, not to mention my grades, in which episode will Luke and Lorelai finally reunite on Gilmore Girls?
Ausiello: I can confirm there’s a kiss coming up.

More Info About the Last Episodes

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

Question: I heard that Lauren Graham sent the season-finale script back to David Rosenthal because she didn’t like it. Is that true?— Craig Best
Ausiello: “Didn’t like” is a little harsh, but, yeah, she requested a few tweaks, which, per my Girls mole, “resulted in some nice changes.” One crazy rumor making the rounds is that Lauren wanted fewer Luke-Lorelai scenes. As I mentioned in my latest vodcast, nothing could be further from the truth. The details about who does what changed, but the amount of time they’re on screen together is just the same. And it’s just as significant to their story line.

Question: OMG, is the CW ever going to tell us if the Gilmore Girls is ending? What in the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is going on over there?— Rebecca
Ausiello: Turns out, there’s no huge rush to make a decision. I’m told Episode 22 can serve as either a series or a season finale. So, theoretically, they can continue negotiating with Lauren and Alexis right up until the CW upfront on May 17. That said, I hear things are looking up.

Question: Will Logan appear in the Gilmore Girls finale?— Kat
Ausiello: Matt Czuchry is not appearing in the finale, but Logan is referenced during a conversation between Lorelai and Rory.

What’s in store for the last episodes

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

Well, here’s the latest batch of spoilers for the next few episodes. Please note, some of these are true and some are just hearsay. Still no word if this will be the last season or not.

1) Rory and Logan will break up. Rumor is they break up because he proposes and she says no. Not sure I believe that’s the reason they break up.
2) Lorelai’s Jeep will die. Luke will go with her to pick out something new but they end up in a fight.
3) Lorelai stops by the diner for the first time since the break up.
4) Lorelai will tell Luke she’s sorry for sleeping with Christopher and that she was “posessed by an evil spirit” when she did.
5) Paris and Doyle break up because she’s accepted to several medical and law schools and she doesn’t want him to influence her decision.
6) Rory and Paris graduate. Chris and Logan aren’t there for the graduation.
7) Lorelai sings “I will always love you”

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see how this plays out. I just hope if it is the series finale, that they had time to wrap things up nicely enough to satisfy long time fans like us.

Luke and Lorelai spoiler

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

According to Mike at TV Guide:

Now, about that request for Luke and Lorelai juice, I’ve got good news and bad news. Let’s take care of the bad news first: Due to a last-minute change of plans, Lauren Graham is no longer singing ABBA’s “Fernando” in the May 1 episode. Now for the good news: She’s singing Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” instead. And now for the even better news: She sings it to someone specific — and it’s not Rory. Ready. Set. Squeal!

Yea!

It ain’t over til it’s over

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Spoiler ahead, y’all—

Rory and Logan?? Dunzo. Looking that way according to TV Guide. While I wasn’t the biggest Logan fan, I did like him. I hate to hear this news, but I think it is pretty realistic. Rory will graduate and go out into the big, bad world. It would make sense that she would want the chance to spread her wings. I guess we’ll see.

Rory Gilmore Graduates!

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Our beloved little Rory Gilmore will graduate in the next to last episode of the season (series?). According to TV Guide:

Question: Do you have any scoop at all about Gilmore Girls?— Amber
Ausiello: News flash: Rory isn’t graduating in the season/series finale on May 8, as everyone (including me) assumed. She’s graduating in the penultimate May 1 episode. And yes, Lorelai will be attending the ceremony with Christopher, so I guess you could say they’re dating again. (I know, not funny.)

I’m looking forward to these last episodes. I hope if the show is making its final bow there will be time to tie everything up nicely. There’s nothing worse than a rush to end a show.

I’m back

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Sorry I haven’t posted - I had a death in the family. But I’m back now, so let’s get to some gossip.

From Kristin at E!:

Kelly in Birmingham, Michigan: Gilmore Girls! Please tell us there is hope for season eight.
I certainly hope there is hope, ’cause I, for one, would be devastated to see the show go. But…if you saw this week’s Vine show, you know that, sadly, things are not looking good. Stand by, the Save One Show campaign is coming to the rescue soon!

Ausiello at TV Guide has this for us:
Question: This fight between Luke and Lorelai on Gilmore Girls (Ask Ausiello 3/7), is it safe to say that it results in them officially getting back together? — Dorian S.
Ausiello: Not quite. But the end result is definitely positive.
Question: Please say Lauren Graham is singing ABBA’s “Take a Chance on Me”! (Ask Ausiello 3/7)— Nierah
Ausiello: Nope, it’s “Fernando”! And Lauren isn’t the only Stars Hollow denizen attempting to carry a tune in the April 24 episode. We’ll also hear from **r*, M*** *att* and *a*e**e.
Question: Do you have any new Gilmore Girls scoop?— Cory
Ausiello: Matt Czuchry’s pilot has been put on hold.

Weekly dish

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Some Gilmore Girls gossip courtesy of Mike Ausiello at TV Guide:

Question: There is a “spoiler” floating around that Rory and Logan will break up for good on Gilmore Girls before the season ends. Is there any truth to this?— Emma
Ausiello: I think I know how this rumor got started. Matt Czuchry is attached to a fall pilot, and folks are assuming that that means he’s leaving Gilmore Girls. Not so. The pilot, Gravity, is in “second position,” which is a fancy way of saying he can appear in it if and only if Gilmore Girls doesn’t return for an eighth season. (No news on that front, BTW.)

Question: Thanks for the scoop about Lorelai going back to Luke’s diner! As you said, finally!— Silvia from Italy
Ausiello: That reminds me, I never got around to telling you what happens after their whole diner reunion. It involves car shopping and a really big argument. Oh, and I just found out that the following week’s episode (that’s No. 20 for those keeping track at home) features a Gilmore Girls first: Lauren Graham singing one of ABBA’s greatest hits!

Lauren Graham singing? Bring it on! I thought she did a good job in “Because I Said So.” Sounds like good stuff is coming in the next episodes.

What’s coming next

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

According to Ausiello at TV Guide, April will be a big month for Gilmore Girls:

Mark your calendar for Apr. 17* (*tentative airdate), ’cause that’s when a pretty major turning point occurs in the Luke and Lorelai saga. Based on my e-mail bag, it’s an event many of you have been anxiously waiting for all season long. And if you wanna know what it is, check out the premiere of my new TVGuide.com vodcast (i.e., online video show) tomorrow! Sorry, but a guy’s gotta cross-promote where he can.

Upcoming Stuff

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

I don’t really think this information counts as spoilerish, but those that turn their heads for next week’s previews may want to stop reading.

What’s the latest scoop on Logan and Rory?
Ausiello: More family drama is headed Logan’s way as Papa Huntzberger rears his meddling head again. Rory plays the supportive girlfriend, just as he played the supportive boyfriend during Richard’s health crisis last night. And that’s it, really. No marriage proposal or anything like that.

Sounds like more stalling, treadmill walking as you guys suggested in the comments. When was the last time we had a really good Rory storyline?? I’m still upset they brought back Marty for such a pitiful little storyline.

Big spoilers

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Ok, we’ve got some good scoop courtesy of TV Guide. Enjoy or avert your eyes if you don’t want to know!

Question: You’ve been stingy with Gilmore Girls scoop lately. Tell the truth: Is it because you got in trouble after Whispergate?— Christina
Ausiello: Me? In trouble? Pshaw. Next to Isaiah Washington’s Golden Globes meltdown, Whispergate was the best thing to happen to my career. I thank the gods every day for giving me the gift of Whispergate. Heck, if it wasn’t for all the increased visibility that Whispergate brought me, a heavily imbedded Gilmore Girls source probably wouldn’t have come up to me at press tour and revealed that (Massive spoiler alert) David Rosenthal is seriously considering ending the season (or series?) with Lorelai and Luke not only married but expecting a baby. Which leads me to my next piece of scoop….

Question: Great job at the Globes, but you’ve been very negligent with Gilmore Girls recently. Please give us some more scoop that doesn’t involve the death of a pet!— Grace
Ausiello: Fair enough. The buzz in Stars Hollow is that the key to an eighth season may rest in Alexis Bledel’s petite hands. Unlike Lauren Graham, who appears to be somewhat amenable to the idea of continuing on for another year, Bledel is proving a tougher sell. As a result, Warner Bros. and the CW are allegedly developing a Plan B that would focus an eighth season on Lorelai, Luke and their new baby, with the occasional sweeps-month guest appearance by Rory. Wow, that sounds like a disaster.

Question: Do you know how Gilmore Girls plans to deal with Melissa McCarthy’s pregnancy?— Katherine
Ausiello: Scoop! They’re dealing with it by making Sookie pregnant for a third time. Not sure how Dave R. is gonna pull that one off, considering Jackson had that vasectomy and all. Maybe Taylor’s the daddy? I kid. I kid.

Do you want to see the show go on without one of the Girls? I can’t imagine it myself, but what do you think?

February 6 Episode spoiler

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Ok, are you ready? If not, turn your eyes, stop reading right this second….This is the big one people. In 7.13 episode this season, Lorelai will end her marriage with Chris! Or at least that is the rumor. It sounds about right to me since February is sweeps month. I can’t wait to see the rest of the season unfold starting next week!
